Where did Lord Shri Ram worship the sea god?
There is a place in Rameshwaram called "Adi-Rameswara". It is a belief that at that place Lord Shri Ramji had worshiped Samudradev and performed penance for three days. But when Samudradev did not appear, he showed his power to the sea.
Today the name of the temple that has been built across that place is "Darbhashayanam Tirupalani Temple". It is said that Samudradev himself appeared there and suggested Lord Shri Ramji the trick of making a bridge with stones on the water. And he also assured Lord Shri Ram that he would pacify the ocean waves at that place. In this way, the blueprint of Ram Setu was prepared, due to which the construction of Ram Setu became possible.

There are 22 Tirtha Kunds in Ramnath Tirtha. Whose water is very sweet. Despite being so close to the sea, the sweet water of these kunds is a miracle in itself. According to Ramayana, Ravana was a Brahmin. And killing a Brahmin incurs the sin of killing a Brahmin. Lord Shriram knew this very well. That's why they came to these 22 kunds after killing Ravana. There is water of 22 pilgrimages in these kunds. After bathing in these pools, all the sins of a man are destroyed by just seeing the Shivling. Lord Shriram also got freedom from the sin of killing Brahma at the same place.
Where was the foundation of Ramsetu laid?
Dhanushkodi is 18 km from Rameswaram. In between these two places you will find the stones of Ramsetu (floating stones in water). According to Ramayana, Dhanushkodi is the place where the foundation of Ram setu was laid. And there even today it is claimed to have seen Ramsetu.
If you look through the satellite, you will see a thin line from Dhanushkodi to Mannar in Sri Lanka. That thinnest line is Ram setu. It is also called Adams Bridge. If you see from google map, you will see 8 small islands between Dhanushkodi and Mannar of Sri Lanka. These small islands are called the remains of Ramsetu.
Dhanushkodi used to be a prosperous town earlier. But today only ruins remain there. Because the terrible cyclone storm that came in 1964 had destroyed everything there. Tourists visit Dhanushkodi only during the day and take a walk there. As soon as the night falls there is silence.
Why did Shriram destroy Ram setu?
Each and every place and ruins of Dhanushkodi tells the old history of this place. The end of Dhanushkodi still bears testimony to the placing of the first stone of Ramsetu. It is said that after returning from Srilanka, at the behest of Vibhishana, Lord Rama destroyed that Ram setu by hitting it with a bow.

According to today, how many kilometers long was Ram setu?
Ramsetu - According to the scriptures, a huge setu (bridge) was built between India and Lanka on the sea in Treta yuga. It was 100 yojanas long and 10 yojanas wide.
According to today's calculation: -
1 yojana = 8 miles,
1 mile = 1.6 kilometer,
(1.6 X 8 = 12.8 km)
1 yojana = 12.8 kilometers
It was 100 Yojana = 1280 kilometer long.
It was 10 yojanas = 128 kilometers wide.
Shriram's army had prepared it in 5 days. And that bridge was made pedestrian. But as of today, the distance between Dhanushkodi and Mannar is about 50 kms. According to religious beliefs, this bridge is very long. But in reality this distance is very less. How was such a long distance taken in that era? The answer to this is probably hidden in the womb of time itself.
