Ram Setu

Ram Setu, this is one such story that people are curious to know about. Some people believe it to be a lie, some people see it from the point of view of faith, and some people see it from the point of view of science. Any way you see it, but what is true cannot be denied. Recently, an American channel has claimed that Ram Setu really exists. Channelers say that the stones found between Rameshwaram and Sri Lanka are about seven thousand years old. And those scientists also believe that Ramsetu is a bridge made by humans. This has proved that even after knowing all the science, they have started accepting the existence of Ramsetu.

Ram Setu is such a wonderful event of the Ramayana period which contains the truth within itself. Which confirms that all the things written in Ramayana are true. And "Ram Setu" proves that truth.

Today in this post we are going to tell you some information related to Ram Setu. Due to which you will also believe that Ram Setu was really there and the book named Ramayana is true.

There are about eight islands between Rameshwaram and Sri Lanka. Which most people are not aware of. Many evidences related to Ramkatha are still present in those islands. Which proves that Ramayana is actually a false incident. There are floating stones in the water. Those stones have surprised even the scientists.

Where is that Ram Setu in the middle of the bottomless ocean? And if so, in what form does it exist?
If the stories of Lord Shriramji are true, then we will definitely get the proofs which are told in Ramayana. According to Valmiki Ramayana, the biggest proof is that Shivling, which is present in Rameswaram. Which was made by Shriramji himself with his own hands. and installed it. Today we all know that Shivling by the name of Rameshwaram. Those eight islands present between India and Sri Lanka, which are still present there as evidence of Ram Setu. The biggest evidence is those stones floating on the water in the middle of the ocean, which are still present there and testify to the Ramsetu of Ram katha even today.

Rameshwaram Dham is the biggest and most important stage of the story of Ramayana. You must also know a lot about Rameshwaram. But today we will talk about Ram Setu and not Rameshwaram.

When the whole monkey army along with Lord Shri Ram came to that beach of Rameshwaram in search of Sita, everyone's feet stopped at one place after seeing such a huge sea. Balmiki ji has written in Ramayana that to cross that vast ocean, the monkey army had built a bridge of stones. According to Ramayana, the construction of Ram Setu started from there itself.

Rameshwaram is that stage of Ramayana where devotion to Lord Shri Ram is visible and power is also visible. The devotion and power of Lord Shri Ram is reflected in this quadruped of Sunderkand.

" Vinay na manat jaladhi jad, gaye tin din beeti I
Bole ram sakop tab, bhay binu hoi na priti II "

Where did Lord Shri Ram worship the sea god?

There is a place in Rameshwaram called "Adi-Rameswara". It is a belief that at that place Lord Shri Ramji had worshiped Samudradev and performed penance for three days. But when Samudradev did not appear, he showed his power to the sea.

Today the name of the temple that has been built across that place is "Darbhashayanam Tirupalani Temple". It is said that Samudradev himself appeared there and suggested Lord Shri Ramji the trick of making a bridge with stones on the water. And he also assured Lord Shri Ram that he would pacify the ocean waves at that place. In this way, the blueprint of Ram Setu was prepared, due to which the construction of Ram Setu became possible.

Where did Sitaji's fire test take place?

Rameshwaram Dham is very miraculous. Only the name of Ram Setu remains on the tongue of every traveler who comes here. The place in Rameshwaram where Lord Shri Ram's monkey army had made their camp before the attack on Lanka. And Lord Shri Ram had made a Shivling of sand with his own hands. Where the fire test of Goddess Sita took place. Ram resides in every place of this area. Every practice, every belief here is directly related to Shriram. The name of that place is "Agni Tirtham". Every traveler going here has to first take a bath and then enter the temple. And there are visions.

Where is the Shivling made by Lord Shri Ram located?

This temple of Rameswaram claims to have a Shivling made of sand, which was made by Lord Shriram himself in Tretayuga. According to the Ramayana, Lord Shriram returned from Lanka and built it with his own hands in the presence of Goddess Sita.

The Ramnath Swamy temple in Rameshwaram has its own identity. Ram and Ishwar met in this temple. That's why it is called Rameshwaram. The artefacts and magnificence here are made just by looking at them. This is the same place where the Lord returned after killing Ravana and worshiped Lord Shiva.

How did Lord Shri Ram get freedom from the sin of killing Brahma?

There are 22 Tirtha Kunds in Ramnath Tirtha. Whose water is very sweet. Despite being so close to the sea, the sweet water of these kunds is a miracle in itself. Because where there is saltiness in the air itself, how can the water there be sweet. Science may or may not have an answer to this question. But everything pales in front of the faith associated with Ramayana.

You must be thinking that where did the 22 ponds come from? So let us tell you that the story of these 22 kunds is also related to the sin of killing Brahma of Shriram. According to Ramayana, Ravana was a Brahmin. And killing a Brahmin incurs the sin of killing a Brahmin. Lord Shriram knew this very well. That's why they came to these 22 kunds after killing Ravana. There is water of 22 pilgrimages in these kunds. After bathing in these pools, all the sins of a man are destroyed by just seeing the Shivling. Lord Shriram also got freedom from the sin of killing Brahma at the same place.

Where was the foundation of Ramsetu laid?

Dhanushkodi is 18 km from Rameswaram. In between these two places you will find the stones of Ramsetu (floating stones in water). According to Ramayana, Dhanushkodi is the place where the foundation of Ram setu was laid. And there even today it is claimed to have seen Ramsetu.

If you look through the satellite, you will see a thin line from Dhanushkodi to Mannar in Sri Lanka. That thinnest line is Ram setu. It is also called Adams Bridge. If you see from google map, you will see 8 small islands between Dhanushkodi and Mannar of Sri Lanka. These small islands are called the remains of Ramsetu.

Dhanushkodi used to be a prosperous town earlier. But today only ruins remain there. Because the terrible cyclone storm that came in 1964 had destroyed everything there. Tourists visit Dhanushkodi only during the day and take a walk there. As soon as the night falls there is silence.

Why did Shriram destroy Ram setu?

Each and every place and ruins of Dhanushkodi tells the old history of this place. The end of Dhanushkodi still bears testimony to the placing of the first stone of Ramsetu. It is said that after returning from Srilanka, at the behest of Vibhishana, Lord Rama destroyed that Ram setu by hitting it with a bow.

Meeting of two oceans?

If you travel by boat between Dhanushkodi and Sri Lanka, you will see the meeting place of two oceans. One can clearly see the Indian Ocean from one side and the Bay of Bengal from the other side.

How many names does Ram setu have?

You all know the name of Ram Sethu located in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu, but do you know that Ram Sethu has many other names as well. This bridge is also known as Adam's Bridge, Nal Neel Setu, and Setu Bandh.

Since this bridge was built by Lord Rama and his monkey army, most of the people know this bridge as Ram setu. To conquer Lanka, the monkey army of Lord Shri Ram built Ram setu in five days.

What is the truth of Ram Setu?

It is said that Lord Shri Ram had built a bridge with the help of Vanar Sena to bring Mata Sita from Rameshwaram to Lanka, which is today known as Ram setu. The stones used in Ram setu are still visible floating in the water.

Between Rameshwaram in the southeast of India and Mannar Island in the northeast of Sri Lanka, there is a chain of shallow limestone rocks, it is known as Ram setu in India and Adam's Bridge (Adam's Bridge) in the world.

Medicine of Muslims on Ramsetu bridge!

According to the Hindu scripture Ramayana, Lord Shriram had built Ramsetu to reach Lanka. But in Muslim religion too, claims have been made about Ram Setu. According to his experts, Adam has built Ramsetu. Adam himself built this bridge and after reaching Adam's peak, he stood there on one leg in repentance for 1000 years. That's why this bridge is also called Adam's Bridge.

How did Ram Setu break?

According to Ramayana, Lord Shriram had destroyed Ram setu with the strike of his bow after returning from Lanka. And according to scientists, in the year 1480, Ram setu broke due to a cyclonic storm and due to rising sea level, this bridge got submerged in the sea.

In how many days was Ram Sethu completed?

The thin line of islands visible from Dhanushkodi to Mannar in the pictures taken by Indian satellite and NASA is today known as Ram setu. Ram Setu was built in just five days at that time.

According to Ramayana, what is the length and width of Ramsetu?

It is said that when this bridge was built, its length was 100 yojanas and width was 10 yojanas. In the Ramayana period, high technology was used to build Ram setu, with the name of Shri Ram. It is said that the stones were thrown into the sea with the name of Ram written on them, so that they floated and that bridge was tied with big trees. Because of which that bridge was made very strong. And this work was possible only because of the curse given to Nal and Neel.

How old is Ram Setu?

Citing scientific tests on Ram setu, science channels have said in one of their reports that the distance of about 50 kilometers between Dhanushkodi and Mannar in Sri Lanka is made of rocks. And these rocks are about 7100 years old. And the sand over there on which these rocks rest is about 4000 years old. According to many reports, the floating stones are also about 7000 years old. According to Anna University, Ram setu is 18400 years old. According to the GSI report, this bridge is about 7000 to 18000 years old. In every era, according to their time, scientists have examined that Ramsetu and presented their own reports. So it is quite difficult to guess which report is correct. Which report is correct?

According to today, how many kilometers long was Ram setu?

Ramsetu - According to the scriptures, a huge setu (bridge) was built between India and Lanka on the sea in Treta yuga. It was 100 yojanas long and 10 yojanas wide.

According to today's calculation: -
1 yojana = 8 miles,
1 mile = 1.6 kilometer,
(1.6 X 8 = 12.8 km)
1 yojana = 12.8 kilometers
It was 100 Yojana = 1280 kilometer long.
It was 10 yojanas = 128 kilometers wide.
Shriram's army had prepared it in 5 days. And that bridge was made pedestrian. But as of today, the distance between Dhanushkodi and Mannar is about 50 kms. According to religious beliefs, this bridge is very long. But in reality this distance is very less. How was such a long distance taken in that era? The answer to this is probably hidden in the womb of time itself.
