एक गांव में एक लड़का रहता था। वह बहुत ही गरीब था। उसके पिताजी का देहांत हो गया था। तथा उसकी मां दूसरों के घर में काम करके अपना और अपने लड़के का जीवन निर्वाह करती थी। जिस स्कूल में वह लड़का पढ़ाई करता था, उस स्कूल के शिक्षक उससे बहुत परेशान हो गए थे। एक दिन अध्यापक ने उस लड़के को एक चिट्ठी दी और उससे कहा की यह चिट्ठी तुम अपनी मां को दे देना। लड़का वह चिट्ठी लेकर घर गया और मां को देख कर बोला, यह चिट्ठी मास्टर जी ने आपको दी है। उसकी मां ने वह चिट्ठी पड़ी, तब उस लड़के ने अपनी मां से पूछा की मां उस चिट्ठी में क्या लिखा है मुझे भी बताओ।
तब उसकी मां अपनी नम आंखों से उसे देखा और बोली, बेटा इसमें लिखा है कि आप का बेटा बहुत होशियार है। हमारा स्कूल आपके बेटे के लायक नहीं है, आप उसका किसी दूसरे स्कूल में दाखिला करा दो। यह बात सुन कर वह लड़का बहुत खुश हुआ। उसे यह विश्वास हो गया कि वह सही में होशियार है। उसकी मां ने उसका दूसरे स्कूल में एडमिशन करा दिया। वहां पर वह लड़का मन लगाकर पढ़ाई करने लगा। अपनी मां के वचन पर विश्वास और कड़ी मेहनत से वह लड़का बहुत आगे गया। समय के साथ एक दिन उसकी मां का देहांत हो गया। अपनी लगन और विश्वास से उस लड़के ने बहुत नाम कमाया। उस लड़के का नाम अलबर्ट आइंस्टीन (Albert Einstein) है।
एक दिन अलबर्ट आइंस्टीन अपने घर की साफ सफाई कर रहे थे, तभी उन्हें वह चिट्ठी दिखाई दी, जो स्कूल से मिली थी। उस चिट्ठी में लिखा था कि आप के लड़के का पढ़ाई में मन नहीं लगता उसे कोई भी बात समझ में नहीं आती जो प्रश्न दूसरे बच्चे आसानी से कर लेते हैं, वही प्रश्न इसे कई बार समझाने के बाद भी इसे समझ में नहीं आता है। इस लिए हम उसे स्कूल से निकाल रहे हैं। आप उसका दाखिला किसी दूसरे स्कूल में करवा दीजिए।
जब अलबर्ट आइंस्टीन ने वह चिट्ठी पढ़ी तो उनकी आंखों में आंसू आ गए। और अपनी मां के लिए उनके मन में आदर और प्रेम बढ़ गया। उस समय यदि उनकी मां ने उन्हें वह चिट्ठी पढ़ कर सुना देती और और प्रोत्साहित नही करती तो आज वह इस जगह नहीं पहुंचते। उन्होंने अपनी मां की बातों पर भरोसा किया और कड़ी मेहनत की, इस वजह से वह यहां तक पहुंचे।
दोस्तों इस कहानी से हमें यह सीख मिलती है कि हमें अपने आप पर विश्वास करना चाहिए क्योंकि विश्वासवह शक्तिहै जो असंभव से कार्य को भी संभव बना देता है। अपने विश्वास को जगाए रखने के लिए तथा अपने भरोसे को कायम रखने के लिए कुछ महत्वपूर्ण बातें हमें सदा स्मरण रखना चाहिए। जो व्यक्ति इन बातों का महत्व नहीं समझता उसका विश्वास हर रास्ते पर डगमगा जाता है। अतः यह जरूरी है कि हम उन बातों को अपने दिलो-दिमाग में बिठाले और सदा अपने विश्वास को जगाए रखें।
अपने हृदय में संपूर्ण श्रद्धा से विश्वास करें कि आप उस कार्य को अवश्य ही करके रहेंगे, जिसे आपने अपने हाथ में लिया हुआ है।
एक पल के लिए भी अपने मन में अविश्वास की रेखा तक ना आने दे। यदि आपके मन में अविश्वास आने का प्रयत्न करें तो उसे बाहर धकेल दें।
अविश्वास, निराशा आपके भाग्योदय के मार्ग के सबसे बड़े शत्रु है ।
